Job Description
Performs radiologic exams of designated anatomy using professional judgment while imaging with regard to technical quality according to physician specifications.
Supports patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding PHI and HIPPA related information.
Provides courteous and professional delivery of radiologic exams and procedures while adhering to necessary radiation safety precautions. Performs clerical duties, as needed.
Experience Required
- Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate's Degree Graduate of a Health Science Program
Experience Required
- Less than 1 year Completion of Radiologic program
Certification & Licensure Requirements
- Health Services/ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in good standing Upon Hire
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days
Knowledge, Skill, & Ability Requirements
- Can deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, family, and physicians
- Able to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
- Understands how to effectively and safely use radiation producing equipment
- Knowledge of medical technology and terminology
