Job Description
Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing MRI exams. Collaborates with the radiologist and fellow staff members regarding patient testing. Complies with MRI safe practices at all times.
Experience Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
Certification & Licensure Requirements
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or
- MR - Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year OR ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist - American Registry of MRI Technologists within 1 Year
Knowledge, Skill, & Ability Requirements
- Able to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians and nursing personnel
- Can maintain a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment, and personnel that are involved in MRI exams
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and oral communications, including email
- Skills in technical data interpretation
